SDC M40 Campus to launch second stage of community consultation on Tuesday 15 September

The SDC M40 Campus team is pleased to confirm that its second stage of community consultation will run from Tuesday 15 September to Tuesday 27 October 2026.
As a reminder, we held our first stage of public consultation from Wednesday 12 November 2025 to Thursday 8 January 2026. We have been continuing to engage with local stakeholders and technical consultees and progressing assessments and surveys of the site since our last update.
The purpose of our first stage of consultation was to:
- Introduce the SDC M40 Campus project to the local community
- Gather early feedback on elements of our proposals such as landscaping, public rights of way, and potential community benefits such as employment and training opportunities
- Understand the needs of the community to help inform the development of our plans
Our second stage of community consultation will provide further detail on our proposals, including the data centre campus, supporting energy infrastructure, and the key themes that emerged during the first stage of consultation. We will also demonstrate how we have addressed feedback received so far.
Consultation events
We will be holding public drop-in events in the local area as well as an online webinar, where residents will be able to meet the project team, ask questions and provide feedback on the latest plans.

Written feedback can be submitted from Tuesday 15 September until Tuesday 27 October 2026 in the following ways:
- Via the online feedback form, which will be available on the Stage Two Community Consultation page from Tuesday 15 September

- By post to Freepost SDCM40 CAMPUS (no stamp or other address details are needed. ‘SDCM40 Campus’ must appear upper case and with no space between ‘SDC’ and ‘M40’)
